I'm a former arts and culture columnist at Playboy, L.A. Weekly, HelloGiggles, and Death + Taxes (Spin's culture and politics blog). I now independently write about the arts.

My byline has appeared in VICE, Spin, USA Today Pop Candy, Spectator USA, Amadeus Magazine, Billboard, Paste, National Review, Arc Digital, Penthouse, HuffPost, Village Voice, O.C. Weekly, The A.V. Club, MTV News, Consequence of Sound, Quillette, Pitchfork, Medium, et al.

In 2017, I won an L.A. Press Club award for my work at L.A. Weekly. Since then, I've been asked to appear on radio programs and podcasts such as the Bret Easton Ellis podcast (author of American Psycho and Less Than Zero), BBC Radio 5 Live, and KFI AM 640 to provide commentary on pop culture.

In the spring of 2019, my writing (and Twitter) were discussed in a chapter of Bret Easton Ellis's first nonfiction book, White. That summer, my essay on Dave Chappelle's Netflix special, Sticks & Stones, was shared by Jerry Seinfeld.

I was later profiled by the New York Times.

I've also just completed writing a book about Guns N' Roses for ECW Press. For inquiries relating to publishing, please contact:
